Glad you like Keio Line! It's one of my all-time favourite Merz-collabs. Today I received the last part of the Japanese Birds series. I'm almost sad as I got really used to getting a new Merz CD every month in the mail. This last one apparently consists of only one long 50+ min. track. I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm curious. It's been a long time since Akita recorded such a long piece and I think it's kinda appropriate for the last part in the series.

I didn't think that it was being released until the 1st March. I'm ordering mine on Friday (payday) along with Joanna Newsoms new triple CD.

Graft Lp and 7" arrived yesterday. Yet to check it out though. Same here! Thrench, how's that Joanna Newsom CD? Is it similar to Ys?

The new Joanna Newsom CD's are pretty different from Y's, generally the songs are not as long and rambling, although the CD is long, three CD's long in fact. I still prefer Y's, but altogether it's still a great listen.
Just ordered Mini Cycle / Yoshino Tamago / Yonos Bigfoot. According to the guff on Coldspring Records there is lots of chickens on it..sounds good to me!

wow,
What an excellent CD. Love the mini packaging as well. I should have bought this years ago.
The chicken chorus on it is pretty cool as well. Which reminds me, I have to go and round up next doors girls and lock them in for the night (hopefully with few eggs waiting for me).
Over and out

Just picked up Andre Sider af Sonic Youth, Mats Gustafsson and Merzbow. I have to say I like it a lot. I've always been a big fan of SY and they play a great improv set, however, once Mats Gustafsson and Merzbow kick in they take it to a higher plain. The final 10 minutes or so is probably one of the most exciting finishes to a live set that I've heard in years. Also as an aside, it's the first Merzbow CD I've bought from a shop (yes! a real shop) and not the internet, thanks to Fopp in Exeter.

Nice, I hope you like it! Unfortunately, it was already sold out when I tried to buy it...
Anyway, my copy of Marmo arrived today. Got a new copy from a German seller. Really looking forward to giving this one a listen now.
