Translating from the site Le Zornographe (http://john-zorn.blogspot.com/) as best I can... some tidbits:
Cyro Baptista is in the studio this (or last?) weekend recording his Masada album.
A new Filmworks for the film "The Nobel Prizewinner" will be coming out in August.
Haborym and the Astronome DVD are slated for July.

From Cyro Baptista Facebook page on monday 21 : Inside the studio recording an amazing record with Zorn, Ribot, Medeski, Wollesen, Trevor and Ikue Something totally different (from The Dreamers) and today : Last day for Zorn's recordings
Looks like Electric Masada... Or could it be one of Apparitions or The Satyr’s Play ?

Seems like my hopes for another piano trio album are becoming real then :-) According to Tzadik page in fact
John Zorn: Filmworks XXIV - The Nobel Prizewinner [#7385] Called in at the last minute to score this bizarre and fascinating black comedy out of the Netherlands, Zorn responded to the stark black and white cinematography by turning in this intimate and moody score for piano trio. Brilliantly performed by Rob Burger, the fabulous pianist from Alhambra Love Songs, along with the dynamic rhythm section of Trevor Dunn and Kenny Wollesen, they capture the mood beautifully, bringing a subtle depth to Zorn's lyrical and evocative compositions. Touching upon Debussy, Glass, Guaraldi and Satie, this is a fabulously enjoyable installment of the popular FilmWorks series!
Thanks for let us know it's due to be released in august Sarah. Can't wait to dig it!

Translated from the Le Zornographe blog...
"Tzadik is preparing to release a vinyl edition of The Dreamers / Ipos / O 'o. Furthermore, the release of John Zorn in November will Interzone, inspired by the work of William Burroughs and Brion Gysin."

It's good to hear Zorn is turning to vinyl again. After all a lot of niche labels like Tzadik release 33rpm discs which belong to a niche market. So I find this choice interesting as well as appropriate; it reminds me of a suggestion a friend of mine once told me: the releasing of the 4 Naked City album on Avant on vinyl. Such a wide surface will surely increase the artwork appeal.
Btw, according to Tzadik's page here's another collector's item coming up:
John Zorn: Naked City Black Box-20th Anniversary Edition: Torture Garden/Leng Tch'e [#7312] The controversial and influential Naked City Black Box couples two of Zorn's most extreme and violent creations. Torture Garden (1991) presents Naked City's intense and groundbreaking music combining free jazz, bebop, r&b, country, funk, rockabilly, surf, metal and grindcore—usually in the same song! The rare, seldom heard Leng Tch'e (1992), released only in Japan and long out-of-print features Naked City in an agonizingly slow, brutal 32-minute assault. This special 20th anniversary edition brings all the music together on one CD, accompanied by a booklet complete with artwork, photos and essays old and new.

I'm tempted, even though I have TG about 4 different times on different editions already!

Once again translated from Le Zornographe...
Interzone, which will appear in November, inspired by the work of William Burroughs and Brion Gysin, will be made with the file card technique, like the recent Femina, and Dictee / Liber Novus. With Marc Ribot, John Medeski, Cyro Baptista, Trevor Dunn, Kenny Wollesen and Ikue Mori.

Well, this is the first file card cd that really interests me.. I'm reading Burroughs again getting ready for November... I wonder what kind of artwork will he choose for this release.
