Don Cherry- Complete Communion Don Cherry- Symphony For Improvisers
Fuck me these are so good. I think, possibly, some of the best jazz I've ever heard.
Noisembryo- where did you get the Complete Machine Gun Sessions from?

Yeah, Symphony For Improvisers is just fantastic. I read a review of both the Cherry albums I mentioned somewhere, and it rattled on about the really amazing thing being the convergence and departure of the musicians in terms of what they're playing, which I thought was spot on. One of the most exciting aspects of the album is the contrast and the transition between the freely improvised sections and the sections of partially composed thematic material (Cherry's sense of melody is just as astounding as Coleman's, I feel).
