Well, it's a choral piece, with Patton and Jessika Kenney as soloists. The text is in latin, and it really sounds like Renaissance-era classical music. Maybe I need to listen to it more so that I can hear what's behind the scenes.. Interesting, I guess , but far from what I expected. I didn't know what it sounds like, I should have read a review before.

It does sound interesting, add it to the list of "to buys" I think. I have to admit, I am a bit of a Patton fan, I generally like most things he does. Peeping Tom was maybe a bit of a let down though, as was the new Tomahawk. PT I loved at first, but now its kinda dull for me, and Anonymous has its moments, but compared to their first records, its BAD.
Todays playlist -
ZAPPA - The Lost Episodes ZORN - Chimeras GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR! - Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada EP THE MARS VOLTA - Amputechture CYNIC - Focus ( what a great fucking album this is! Sheesh! ) DJ YODA - Wha Happened? RATT - Dancing Undercover SEPULTURA - Arise

Woa, Lukas Ligeti.. Am yet to check his music out actually. What's it like? I love Ligeti senior! The piano etudes are just top notch - a great example of how to use one idea and make it work.

His music is incredible, you would like it I think. Its not as "out there" as some of the Tzadik releases, but it isnt exactly straight either. I could just paste you the blurb from the Tzadik website, but as ever, its non conclusive. Great use of percussion overall, and the pieces dont dwell on one theme for too long. The cd flows really well and keeps you interested.
