I listened to Live at Radio 100 today, this such a cracking listen. It proves that Masami has a good sense of humour, I particularly like the sample of Louis Armstrong. Following that I listened to the Cocteau Twins - At the BBC..oops sorry I forgot, I'm not allowed to admit that I listen to anything else other an noise.

Ohh and after the Cocteau Twins I listened to achy breaky heart by Billy Ray Cyrus.....Actually I didn't, I listened to KK Null - Ultimate Material III. I saw him in Bristol (UK) last year with Z'ev (or was it the year before?). It's the only way to really appriciate how good these guys are, get out and see them. I saw Wolf Eyes this year and I have to admit I thought they were very poor which I was rather pissed off by.

Today, whilst fitting a new socket in the spare room I listened to Hard Lovin' Man, I love this CD. I first listened to it on the way to my Nan's funeral and it really holds a special place in my heart. Maybe we should start up a new topic of which Merzbow CD's remind you of special occasions and why?
Over to you Merzfans!!!

I heard Sphere today. God I love that one. It doestn't start very lod, but then it gradually builds in volume. The start is very tribal, and gradually, washes of electric tsunami take over.....Or something like that, hahahahahaha......

I bought Ikebukuro Dada months ago and never listened to it simply because I had moved out of my Merzbow obsession for awhile. I just popped it in and I must say I'm a really big fan. Some of the high pitches on Big Foot (Mix 2) are amazingly harsh and Ikebukuro Dada Texture is pretty fucking awesome as well.

Today I found the Merzbow Pop song "Kimigayo" on UbuWeb ( www.ubu.com/sound/trax.html ). It is from a vinyl compilation called "TRAX 0983 - ANTHEMS (TRAX)". Any Merzbow albums out there in this direction?

Nope, can't get it to open either, anyway to day was spent listening to Ecobondage again. I've also picked up the four CD boxset of CCCC early works, so good, so good.
Has anyone else seen the advert for Merzbow CD "live destruction at the no fun festival" in this months Wire magazine?

Hello, I just ordered this and have high hopes. Quietroom www.southernlord.com/index2.phpBoris W/ Merzbow - "Rock Dream" Double CD, Limited to 5,000 machine numbered copies. Eclectic Japanese power trio Boris return with another limited offering! This time round its a live, psychedelic, mind expanding collaboration with the legendary Japanese master of abrasion: MERZBOW! The two entities are no stranger to collaborative releases and their symmetrical chemistry burns a brightly shining path on this special release. What makes the Boris w/ Merzbow collaboration particularly interesting is that both Boris and Merzbow seem to leave behind the expected to fully embrace the unknown. The usually harsh, corrosive grate of Merzbow is not as apparent with Boris involved. Also the inspired charge of the Boris rock machine seems to reach new heights with Merzbows' intuitive textures added. This is however not entirely free-form. In fact the structure of this is what sets it apart from the majority of Merzbow related releases and collaborations. Boris passionately play their songs as they appear on the albums, but with Merzbow sharing the stage the result transcends the usual conventions of "rock-song" structure. In the end all musicians have created sounds and atmosphere that retains qualities of each group yet takes the listener to a new plateau. Elaborate and beautifully packaged in a sturdy 5" mini-gatefold fold out die-cut jacket with printed innersleeves. Designed by Stephen O'Malley. Track Listing: Boris with Merzbow 2CD 2006/11/18 Live at EARTHDOM, Tokyo Disc 1 Feedbacker Black Out Evil Stack Rainbow Disc 2 Pink Woman on the Screen Nothing Special Ibitsu a bao a qu The Evilone Which Sobs Flower Sun Rain Just Abondaned My-self Farewell

This evening I've been listening to Ecobondage (ending) and after that I listened to the Scumtron remix of Ecobondage (ending) by Autechre. I have to say I can't really hear the original in the mix. I still enjoy the Autechre version, but I generally would expect a remix to sound a little like the original.
