It does sound interesting, add it to the list of "to buys" I think. I have to admit, I am a bit of a Patton fan, I generally like most things he does. Peeping Tom was maybe a bit of a let down though, as was the new Tomahawk. PT I loved at first, but now its kinda dull for me, and Anonymous has its moments, but compared to their first records, its BAD.

Cool. yeah, the time I saw them live they did Hazor too. That was a great show actually, Masada String Trio, Bar Kokhba and the Masada Quartet all on one bill, at Londons Barbican.

I have a special love for the version of "Hazor" on disc 3... Totally. Hazor has to be one of my favourite B.K. / Masada pieces too. Especially fiery versions on the Birthday discs too....

Oh hey, Papawas, don't I know you from the WH forum? Yeah, I like WH. Did a lot of listening to Racket lately. But, mostly, I have a daily merzbow fix, hahaha. I cannot stress how effing great the merzbox is. It isn't a collection of throwaways or "other stuff". Every disc is interesting, most discs are great. So, today my schedule called for discs 44 and 45. Yes, I do know you from susanlawly.com, we have chatted before Im sure! Welcome along skuj! Yeah, I was this close to buying a Merzbox, and then read a load of threads on the Yahoo! group about some of the discs being soiled with glue from the slipcases, and the packaging on individual boxes not being up to scratch, and I think that put me off. I realise not all the boxes are like that, but its a hell of a lotta money to part with, and I just havent got the courage to part with it yet! Maybe one day though!

I joined today, too. This forum is a great initiative! I've recently discovered Olivier Messiaen, listening to various organ works and the Quartet for the end of time. Also, I've been really into Berne lately, most recently: Hard Cell - Feign Tim Berne/Science Friction - The Sublime and Critical Mass and various recent live bootlegs with the Dave Holland quintet have gotten some listens too. And other stuff: Aretha Franklin - Lady Soul Amon Tobin - Out from out where Eric Dolphy - Outward Bound Welcome too! On the subject of Tim Berne, I keep meaning to pick up more of his work. The only Berne + related stuff I have is his Big Satan, a radio broadcast live in London, which is incredible. That and Spy vs Spy, but thats doesnt count right? Oh, listened to this afternoon - KOBY ISRAELITE - Orobas:Book Of Angels Volume 4 DIZZEE RASCAL - Maths + English
