in the beginning, this video documentary was about both Zorn and Sonic Youth, but I cut down the parts featuring SY, so all we're left with is 15 minutes of Zorn (but it's too seldom to be ignored !) talking in his apartment about various subjects, ranging from cartoon music to his experiences in Japan. There's also a great Spy vs. Spy live footage. I edited it in two parts. part 1 : youtube.com/watch?v=c7jyzXY1JAopart 2 : youtube.com/watch?v=tQkM3jpw768

Yeah, it is a great documantary. Spy vs Spy footage is very rare, amazing!
I had this up on YouTube too. ITV Productions (England) deleted the clips "Spy vs Spy" and "Zorn talks about Spillane" (Copyright Infringement). That sucks!
Take the tags "South Bank" off, maybe this will help.

For those interested, the documentary about John Zorn "12 Stories from the Bookshelf on top of the sky" or whatever it is called has been uploaded to youtube in 10 parts by someone. Its rather brilliant. Very inspiring.

Please also note that "12 Stories" is available on Tzadik...
If you like the You Tube taster why not purchase the legitimate product.

Yes. I'm sure I'll buy it eventually. But for those strapped for cash... it makes for excellent watching now.
