This is the place to post Kickstarters, Indiegogo, and similar crowdfunding projects that are related to John Zorn, Tzadik artists, or similar. Feel free to post projects in this thread.
Current projects:
Adding this one specifically for one of the rewards (and I'm posting it here because the layer of dust in the Merzboard was too thick ): " Pledge $200 or more - You will receive a very special lathe-cut clear 7" record by legendary Japanese recording artist, activist, author, and vegan Merzbow entitled "Pulse Vegan," recorded especially for us! Released on Colin's Elevator Bath label, this is a limited edition of 26 lettered copies, only 20 of which are offered to the public. The record will be packaged in an intricately unique die-cut, laser-engraved, wooden sleeve, handmade by Colin. Each copy will feature a print of a beautiful collage by Masami Akita (Merzbow) as well as a code for free digital downloads of the 7" songs. This record (and these two songs) are not physically available anywhere else! Also included is a voucher for one free sandwich (voucher must be redeemed in person, at Pulse Vegan) and our heartfelt thanks! Limited (6 of 20 remaining)"
Past projects:
David Krakauer has a Pledge Music campaign going to fund his new multimedia project "The Big Picture," which is "an album and multi-media show exploring the relationship between music and movies and the collective experience we all share when we go to the cinema." (Funded)

HONK! Festival in Somerville is raising money for their 2013 event - an activist music festival in Somerville, MA. I've seen a Zorn-buddy or two marching in the parade, so I'm calling it relevant... (Funded on Sept 29 2013)
Elliott Sharp is Kickstarting a new recording:
(Funded on August 5 2013.)
Mick Barr is trying to self-fund some new works:
"I am going to record and release a CD featuring the guitar version of the String Quartet I wrote for Kronos, which has still yet to be performed. I put a lot into this piece, and i've been dying to share it since it was completed in 2010. I will also record a slower quieter solo guitar piece that was an original draft of cello parts for a different string quartet. Everything will be recorded at Menegroth the Thousand Caves with Colin Marston, so it will presumably sound better than my other recent self recorded releases."

"Sonic Circuits is the only organization in the Washington DC area that focuses solely on experimental music. ... Sonic Circuits does not have a steady funding source and is operated by an all-volunteer staff. Recent festivals have left us with an unpleasant amount of debt, which now jeopardizes our future. We need to pay our bills to stay in existence." Fundraising till Dec 7, 2012.

New Ghost Train Orchestra CD being funded involving a lot of downtown NYC artists (and it uses the words "John Zorn" in the description so it must qualify!). Not quite the sort of jazz we usually have here, but I happen to really like them. Funded on November 29, 2012.
Z'ev is doing a project which is too complicated to sum up in a sentence: just click and read it yourself Project funded on Sept 21, 2012.
Cake Shop is a small venue in NYC which has hosted some up-and-coming Tzadik artists (they had a "Tzadik Records night" just this week in fact). From their page: "Some financial hurdles that all compounded over the past 3 months (including new Real Estate Tax to landlord, added security costs and changes to the forms of ID we are allowed to accept) have caused serious potential of losing our space". Project funded in August 2012.
