It's seriously like the most perfect album ever. I love it to bits

I like Zorn's mellow, Dreamers music. it wouldn't be my favourite of his styles or albums though. Of all of these types of records, The Dreamers is my favourite record of them.
Welcome to the forum though!

I love all the Dreamers stuff, and they're especially good live - there tends to be a bit more of an edge in their live performances, which I like. I don't know that O'o would be my favorite of their albums. I'd have a hard time picking one as their best.

Hi, I must admit I'm not a Dreamers fan very much. I haven't listened to their first installment properly but both O'o and Ipos are a bit too calm and relaxed for me. But that's how exotica should sound right? They become much better in live shows were there's more space for wild improvisations which enliven their music up.
The upcoming Dreamers-Xmas album with Patton on voice looks kind of odd thing, not just because of the release schedule (before Xmas) but also for its content: Xmas standards rearranged for the Zorn ensemble spiced up with Mike's vocals. And of course a couple of new Xmas pieces "a la Zorn":-) We'll see... but it sounds to me like a cash raising item for the label's sake. Which is good anyway.

Well, I thought it would be released in summer, which would be quite weird for a Xmas item... it would be completely melted by Xmas time:-)

Heung Heung Chin just posted on Facebook that she is finished with the design of the artwork (which she mentioned she was working on all the way back in May). That doesn't mean it's being released next week She said it will be available "by Christmas"... I'd guess October/November.

I'm looking forward to The Dreamers Christmas. I think the sound of the band totally compliments Christmas! I think it'll work well.
