Discogs can be really helpful from time to time. I'm also registered there as Halcyon, but my collection is currently set to private, as I was getting extremely annoyed by people constantly asking me if I could burn them certain cds (mostly stuff that is still in print!).

discogs = a LOT better than eBay for both buying and selling although, like wikipedia a lot of the discographies are missing information. around 2006 i added many entries to the discogs website (it's necessary to enter the information + have it approved, which can take weeks, before you sell something, if it's not listed on the site already, which can get a bit tedious...) I just hope they don't get "too big" like eBay did. that's when things start going wrong. the best thing about discogs is the professional and passionate nature of most of the users - not like ebay clogged with powersellers/discount stores/etc..so the service is more personal and intimate. I have never had a problem buying or selling there.. unlike with eBay.
