Conquistador is right at the top of my "to buy" list currently. I have Cecil Taylor's "Unit STructures" which is fantastic, and I've seen CT with the AHA Trio live, which was one of the best live musical experiences I've had so far.

Been listening to a lot of Cecil Taylor's "Unit Structures" recently, which is a great album. Takes a while to get into though, so I usually have to set aside a day or two to listen to the album a few times. I'd love to see whatever scores/structures/sheet music Cecil came up with for the pieces on that album.

I love what free jazz I've heard so far, but I have to be really alert and focused in order to listen to it. Anthony Braxton, Peter Brotzmann and Ornette Coleman are the only three I've really listened to though, in addition to Zorn's free jazz type stuff, even though Spy Vs. Spy is a Coleman cover album.
