Anyone know if the Collection Cassettes are something only previously released on cassette or are they part of the merzbox as well?

I didn't know about that Soleilmoon release either. Looks nifty and the price is fair but I'm not sure if I'll get it immediately. Chabo and AMR were excellent, but I've still become a bit of precautious regarding Merzbow releases lately.
Re: Collection cassettes. I don't know for sure, but afair the three collection era CDs in the Merzbox were compiled from the ten collection tapes. So I guess at least some of the tracks should be different. Also, the tracklist on the Merzbox CDs is completely different from those tape re-issues.

Another on the production line, this time at Old Europa Cafe. Place your reservation / pre-order NOW. Album is foressen to be out in May. Price is not 100% fixed yet but should probably be 13,00 Euro ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ After two vinyl releases finally a digital album by the master of Japan-Noise on OEC. This album is entitled "Marmo" (Marble for Italian) and is devoted to the Italian and particularly the Venetian marble. Masami was visiting and playing in this magic Italian city several times and was impressed by all the marbles used in the Venetian buildings and paintings ... The 3 tracks composing this album are entitled "Merzbotanica-parallela", "Botanica parallela" is a book written by the Italian author Leo Lionni who is also the inventor of such botanic science, a parallel iper-real botanic where imagination is more reliable than reality .... A real psychadelic tribute by the Japanese master of noise to Venice and Italy .... Enter this new “Merzcolored-Merzbotanic-Merzpsychomuzak” full of scratching rythms and psychoactive noises and let your brain explode. Special folding cover with Venetian marbled paper and golden letterings. Tracklist : 1. Merzbotanica-parallela 1 2. Merzbotanica-parallela 2 3. Merzbotanica-parallela 3

Great idea, I like the concept. I just listened to the samples on the website and they sound absolutely lovely. Much more interesting than the stuff from last year imo. That excerpt from Track 3 feels almost funky in a strange way. Really looking forward to this!

Indeed. Graft has set an exciting new precedent of quality I think, after the disappointing Japanese Birds series.
And yes, the samples sound EXCELLENT.

just found a company in the US with "untitled nov 1989" in stock so I've order a copy along with hair police “obedience cuts” on cassette as well. Looking forward to getting both. I saw the Hair Police in Bristol not so long ago, they were excellent.
