well let us know whatcha think eh! Only had chance to check it out once, but..... On first listen, the title track honestly didnt blow me away. This could have been on any Merz circa 96 -98 IMO, and yes, it does need more listens, but thats what I came away with after the first listen.....Not bad, but not outstanding either... Sugamo Rising Sun Gas Station is nice, and at only 56 seconds, very different for Merzbow! Mangod is absolutely killer. 35 minutes, and contains everything that is great about MAs longer pieces ( Bariken - Mother Of Mirrors, Electric Salad, etc ) ....Its a real journey this one, lots of what sounds like sampled drums / percussion run throughout, and it has a real sense of organisation to it all. Kinda unpredictable too, I expected the levels to rise and have nowhere left to run, ala Bariken, but Mangod took the other routes..... Im waffling, I apologise. I need to listen more to give a more detailed account! I can say that it is worth getting for Mangod alone.....

Glad you liked it. I generally like Merzbow's long tracks very much. They often feel - as you said - like a real journey.
By the way, Tochnit Aleph currently has another special Merzbow gem in stock: The "Music For The Dead Man 2: Return Of The Dead Man" 7" from 1994. Price is 10€.
