This isn't really a blog or an interview but the latest addition to the Zorn galaxy: www.obsessionscollective.com/Zorn is now patroning some of his favorite artists.

Thanks for the cool link. The stuff by D.C. Smith looks really great.

Just saw this posted on Dime:
The timing is probably not convenient for most of us due to the time zones, but I figured I'd post for anyone who happened to be at a computer at those times. (IIRC, 7PM PST is 10PM EST and 4AM CET...)

I got the podcast of the John Hell Zorn related program on Radio Valencia but I haven't listened to it yet. In the meantime, I've stumbled upon this short interview to John Zorn and Pam Tanowiz about February 27 event at the Gugghenheim presenitng Zorn's Femina in a dance set. I found this on the french Zornographe blog. Enjoy it!

Basically another Zorn radio portrait... sorry can't read French, just guessing:-)

Thanks for both articles Sarah! I think the scariest, so to speak, news is La Scala's interest for "La Machine d'Etre", the wordless opera composed after Antonin Artaud texts. I wonder what the hell is going to be put on stage!!:-)

Yeah, I kind of want to go to it now, but I think it's really too late for me to do that since I have all sorts of other concert and travel plans during its run...

www.wnyc.org/shows/spinning/2011/mar/20/Mr. Z is going to be on the radio tonight at 8PM EST. (Note for Europeans and other foreigners: we've started daylight savings time before you, so it may not be the usual number of hours difference. I believe right now we're only four hours earlier than GMT instead of the usual five, so this would be on at midnight in London and 1AM in central Europe.)

It's already archived on the website, so if you can't listen to it at the right time, you can probably hear it later.
