This is probably not the place, but hey, it's a bit quiet so..
Has anyone tried producing their own "noise"? I've been recording on and off for about 2 years now but never tried releasing anything. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has done this and how they went about it.

I'm also playing and sometimes recording my own stuff since a few years. Though I'm still not completely satisfied with my equipment... I'm currently playing mainly analogue but I'd love to focus more on computer music. I bought Max/MSP 5 some time ago and I think it's a highly rewarding software, but learning it takes up much time and more than I currently have, unfortunately.
If you want to release your own stuff... hmm... there are certain labels which are open to submissions. You could simply send them a mail with some examples of your music to see if they're interested. Another option might be to set up a myspace account and get in contact with some other artists there. Actually, I'd be interested in that stuff myself...
Anyway, I'd be interested in hearing some of your music.

That's a good idea about myspace I hadn't thought of that. I would be very good to get feedback on what I'm doing and to hear what other people are doing on this site. I'm generally doing guitar/feedback based noise (with just a dash of rhythm) I really need to invest in more kit like a bass but wage packet and wife won't let me.

I'm no expert on Noise, but I definitely enjoyed your tracks.

I'm glad you listened although I'm sure you're only being polite!
They are done purely for my own pleasure, I just fancied doing something with the guitar other than the blues (I play in blues jam collective i.e we only play for ourselves no live stuff) so it has been interesting producing new sounds from the axe.

As an aside it looks like the Hair Police might be playing a few dates in the UK starting in Bristol. Check them out if you can.
Thrench out..
